Rakennuksen ylimmässä kerroksessa sijaitsee presidentin yksityistiloja, ja alemmassa kerroksessa on valtiollisia edustustiloja seremoniallisia tilaisuuksia varten. Villa Hammerschmidt valmistui 1860 varakkaalle teollisuusmiehelle . Vuonna 1868 sitä uudistettiin arkkitehti johdolla.

Sigurd Frosteruksen käsialaa on myös 1916 rakennettu Stockmannin tavaratalo sekä presidentin virka-asunto; sittemmin Urho Kekkosen museona tunnettu huvila Helsingin Tamminiemessä.

Jos sulla on enemmän lapsia, niin toi Villa Presidentti on erinomainen, ihan eri tasoo kuin jotkut Himos Easyt. Oltiin siellä just äsken ja paremmasta ei väliä, suosittelen lämpimästi.

Ainoastaan Villa Presidentti on ns. 5* kohde, osin jopa ylikin. Hintaa tosin on, mutta jos firma maksaa tai on isompi porukka, niin aivan suveneeri yliveto.
